Facilities and Services


At Marina San Carlos are equipped with power and water.

Dock sizes available: 24 ft., 32 ft., 40 ft., 41 ft., 48 ft., 51 ft., 56 ft., 64 ft., 120 ft., 136 ft.


36 ft. concrete with variable depth depending on the tides.

Fuel Dock

Offers unleaded fuel and diesel. Dock is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Sunday. Additionally, a propane truck comes by once a week to fill tanks.

Crane Service

Save your trailer from the salt water by using our 10 ton crane. Operates Monday through Saturday.


We are required by law to keep a copy of your tourist visa, vessel temporary import permit, insurance and certificate of documentation on file. Please have those documents available.

Fish Cleaning Station

We provide adequate facilities to clean your catch and manage the organic waste.


Available around the Marina. However, there is no overnight parking for trailers or motor homes. For vehicle and trailer storage contact Marina Seca.

Bathrooms & Shower

Are located on the north and south side of the Marina, available to Marina clients only, 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week.


We have 24 hour security plus card key entrance to each dock, $10 USD refundable deposit for each card key.

The area around Marina San Carlos has many services such as a hardware store, laundromat, supermarket, Marine Services, hotels, golf course, shops, beach, restaurants, bars, dive shop, ice cream shop and a church.

By Car

Marina San Carlos is approximately 5 hours south of the border by car.

The four lane highway to San Carlos from Nogales, Arizona is well paved and easily traveled. At he checkpoint you will need to show your passport or birth certificate and photo ID, and will be required to obtain a tourist visa for each person (cost $23.00 USD). No car permits are necessary to come to San Carlos, south of Guaymas you will need a Permit for your vehicle.

Please take the time to get a 10 year temporary import permit for your boat. This permit has a cost of aprox. $50.00 USD, you will need the following documentation:

      • Vessel registration or certificate of documentation.
      • Trailer registration.
      • Owners passport.
      • Owners drivers license.

Or get your permit online at Banjercito.  When applying online for your permit it will take 7 days to receive it at your home in the US.

Continue through Hermosillo to Guaymas, take the San Carlos exit just before you get to Guaymas.

Cruising Information

By Plane

The closest commercial flights fly into Hermosillo, the airport is 1 hour 30 minute drive from San Carlos.  Passports or birth certificates and photo ID are required for travel in Mexico. Taxis and car rentals are available at the airport.

For private flights use Guaymas airport, it is a 15 minute drive to San Carlos.

Dry Storage

Dry Storage access hours are Monday-Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm (Sunday closed). No person will be allowed before or after those times.


Work Yard

Our boat yard offers water and power supplies to help you with your boat work, you can even stay aboard while you finish your project.



We transport sail and power boats from San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico or Mazatlan, Sinaloa to and from anywhere in the US or Canada.
